Apps

  • States Of The World (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

It is my personal app that I’ve designed, architect-ed and developed in my free-time. It shows a registry of almost all the states, countries and territories on our Earth with details about each as well as showing their emergency numbers. The hardest part in developing this app was data collection. I researched online on multiple freely available sources to collect the data for the app. The app is available here to anyone with no cost at all, absolutely free.

  • FitHo (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

FitHo was an intelligent weight loss / diet plan app that simplified the process of loosing weight by providing the app-user with effective guidance on diets and workouts daily as required by the user’s stats. It was my first app as a Freelance Android Developer. It was released in Mar. 2015 and the company behind the app was bought by Practo in under a year. Eventually, the app was removed from Google Play Store once the acquisition was complete.

  • Reviews (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

Reviews was a platform for restaurants to engage with the foodies and get their affection in terms of reviews and ratings. I delegated with the client and worked in a team to develop this platform. We worked on Android & iOS apps, a website and an admin portal for this platform. I developed the Android app for this platform. This platform was around 90% ready when client stopped the development of this project. By that time, Android & iOS apps were completed. Some finishing touches were left when the development stopped.

  • Captain First (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

Captain First was a platform enabling service-providers to sell their services (TV repair, gardening, baby-sitting, etc.) directly to the consumers. I delegated with the client and overlooked a team of developers to work on this platform. We developed a website, admin portal, Android & iOS apps. The website and mobile apps were divided into 2 categories, a consumer front-end and a service-provider front-end. The consumer front-end was called Captain Customer and the service-provider front-end was called Captain Partner. I worked on both the Android apps. The platform was completed in a span of 8 months but it was not released. This was my first experience as a team leader and I learnt a lot working with my colleagues and understood the different methods of working as a developer.

  • Treetins (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

Treetins was a social networking platform with website, iOS and Android apps developed. I developed the Android app and my colleague in VivaConnect worked on the iOS app. The website was developed by third party. The apps were ready by Jan. 2014 but due to funding problems, the platform was never launched. The USP of this platform was “Connecting Strangers” based on their intellect, ideas, likes and dislikes. • maxRVU (Thursday, January 19th, 2017)

maxRVU is a charge capture solution for the American physicians. Its available on website, iOS & Android platform. I developed their Android app when I was working for VivaConnect. I worked on the app from Nov. 2011 and continued supporting the app and adding new features until Sept. 2014, when I resigned from the company. Working on maxRVU was a real treat for me because I was newbie at that time and it enabled me to learn more about Android app development in a short span of time. Plus, the app’s syncing feature is very complex with the possibility of user signing in on more than one platform (website, iOS or Android) at a time and work on a patient’s data. The app should be able to sync the data correctly between these platforms because the billing info depends on it. maxRVU Android app is available here.
